Peep Medicine … Because Peeps Need Pet Care Too!
/Every year I embark on a perilous journey of discovery. I dissect, radiograph, surgify and otherwise play with Peeps in a veterinary setting. It's just useless fun, I know, but my staff gets such a morale boost from it that it's worth the annual pilgrimage to Peep-landia. I hope you enjoy this year's Peep Parade too!
Happy Easter! (Oh, and at the end of this post please don't forget to vote for your favorite Peep in the parade.)
Peep temperature (old schoolthermometers are believed to be best for peeps)
Dental X-rays are sometimes considered more accurate for peeps
Taking blood from peeps is best accomplished via direct cardiac puncture (they don't seem to mind)
As you can see from the above readings, peeps aren't easy to monitor under anesthesia as ekg readings are difficult to interpret
vetrap works best on peeps
Peep Intubation is an inexact science
Peep surgery is easy to do but hard to do well
One happy peep patient
This peep ate a penny (X-rays confirm it)
peep microscopy is fraught with many perils, not the least of which is the sugary debris that accumulates on the equipment
perhaps unsurprisingly, peep ultrasound isn't very rewarding
peeps are great for illustrating dentition issues in dogs
Another happy peep patient
Which is your favorite?
Happy Easter and thanks for playing!
